American workers bring greatness to the United States

Sept. 5, 2011 - PRLog -- My father was a fire fighter for most of his life. During the time he was a fire fighter, he also worked various jobs as a truck driver and carpenter to provide for his family.  He worked hard. One of my brothers operates a small landscaping company. He enjoys his work, but sweats in the hot summers and freezes in the cool fall weather. My sister and mother work hard as nurses caring for the sick.  Part of my labor in life has been as an attorney advocating for abused and neglected children, a major in the Marine Corps helping to keep our land free and as an advocate for the economic advancement of the middle and working class as a candidate for the United States Congress.

Today many Americans will rest from their daily toils and struggles.  As we rest from our toils and struggles, let us take a moment to reflect upon the great love which causes people to labor.  The love that motivates the single mother to clean houses to put food on the table. The love which motivates a dad to get up at 4:30 in the morning to provide for his family.  The love of country which allows young people to leave their homes and risk their lives to serve their nation in the armed forces of the United States.

As we honor those who built this nation with their sweat and toil, we must never stop encouraging the entrepreneurs and those who help create and grow jobs. On this Labor Day 2011 let us thank those who labor and highly resolve to spare no effort to put the nation back to work with good jobs.
