DORE to showcase new assessment model

DORE to showcase new assessment model for personalised SEN exercise programme at Education Show 2013

March 13, 2013 - PRLog -- DORE will be welcoming visitors to stand H99 at the Education Show to discuss its brand new assessment model and special offer, designed to make it even easier for schools to start pupils on the DORE Programme – a personalised exercise programme for specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia, dyspraxia and ADHD. With its new assessment model, the DORE team will be on the road, going directly to schools for their first assessments, rather than schools bringing the pupils to the DORE Centre in Stratford-Upon-Avon. The individual assessments are carried out by an experienced DORE Programme Coach and the results are analysed by a doctor, who explains and discusses them with the school. With this new assessment model comes a new pricing structure: schools can now put four children on the DORE Programme for a discounted price of £4,000 (a saving of over £1,300). This includes a regular assessment procedure, 12-18 months of the twice daily exercise Programme and the support of the DORE team. It has never been more simple and cost-effective for schools to start children on the DORE Programme.

The DORE Programme has already been adopted as an effective SEN intervention programme in several UK schools, including Springfields Academy, which recently won the 2012 TES Awards for Overall Outstanding School of the Year as well as Overall Outstanding Special Educational Needs School of the Year. Other schools include mainstream secondary, primary, PRU and specialist sports colleges.

Former Teacher, Sara Meaker, DORE’s Schools Development Manager, says: “We are looking forward to meeting School Managers, Teachers and SENCOs. It will give us the opportunity to demonstrate the benefits of the DORE Programme for their special needs pupils and how it can lead to a constructive partnership between the school, the family and the pupil.”

The implementation of the programme in a school is always fully supported at every stage by the DORE team: from initial presentation to the school staff, parents and pupils, regular assessments, exercise monitoring and reporting, right through to the final completion of the programme.
