July 22, 2014 - PRLog -- EducationCity, a leading provider of e-learning resources for primary schools, has launched a brand new version of its educational platform mapped to meet the demands of the new National Curriculum for England 2014 (NC2014).

Known as V2, the new platform, which will be provided as a free upgrade to existing subscribers, includes a refreshing look and feel, straightforward navigations, feature improvements, Computing (a brand new subject) and improved mobile accessibility. V2 will make EducationCity even simpler and more effective to use in the classroom and at home whilst meeting the NC2014 demands.

To address the new Computing requirements of the NC2014, EducationCity has created a new Computing module for Key stages 1 and 2. EducationCity’s computing module is so much more than just ‘coding’ and covers three distinct strands, computer science, information technology and digital literacy. Key Stage 2 is also split into lower and upper levels to help teachers differentiate the learning objectives.

With language learning becoming compulsory in primary schools, EducationCity has created a new PlayLive French interactive quiz for Key Stage 2 in which pupils test their knowledge of French language and culture against others within a timed, competitive environment. PlayLive French is designed to support pupils and teachers through this change.

EducationCity is embracing its delivery strategy ‘anytime, anywhere’, with mobile accessibility making it an increasingly valuable educational content provider for students nationally and globally. By simply downloading the free Puffin Academy app via the iTunes and Android stores, customers can enjoy EducationCity’s award-winning, as well as brand new, content on their mobiles.

“We are incredibly excited about the launch of V2 after all of the hard work and dedication given to this two year long project,” said Richard Whalley, Managing Director, EducationCity. “By putting our schools’ needs at the forefront, we have created a truly customer orientated product upgrade that continues to position EducationCity as a forward thinking industry leader.”

V2 will go live ready for the new school term. In the meantime, EducationCity is well prepared to support schools as they reach full implementation of V2 by giving relevant support materials and the opportunity to try this exciting and brand new educational resource.
