March 13, 2013 - PRLog -- As a worldwide business intelligence provider, Top Link Conference and Event Management will be hosting The Best practices of Pressure Vessel workshop . It will be a  5 days workshop from 15th till 19th July 2013 at the International 5 Star Hotel Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

This workshop has two different session each with its own focus. Workshop 1 (15-17 july) will be focusing on Designing & Fabrication of Pressure Equipment (ASME Sec VIII, Div 1) while workshop 2 (18-19 July) will focus on Inspection, Maintenance, Repairs and Alterations of Pressure Equipment (API, ASME & PVRC).

This advanced course provide requirements applicable to the design,  fabrication, inspection, testing and certification of pressure vessels and other pressure static equipment operating at either internal or external pressure exceeding 15psig.

It would be a great opportunity  to join this workshop as participants would be able to gain much more knowledge in their field such as:
• Understanding the background of the Code rules
• Effectively using major codes ASME B&PV Sections VII to more optimized design and fabrication
• Performing all necessary precaution in ordering, basic calculation, fabricating and inspecting pressure equipment in an efficient practices
• Performing calculations for some of the loadings and situations not addressed by the Code
• Effectively making cross references to internal and external code requirements
• Performing all basic vessel calculations needed.
• Use API’s requirements during inspection, repairs and alterations of pressure equipment
• Reviewing welding procedures (WPS/PQR) and welder performance qualifications (WPQ)
• Preparing design specifications, design reports, data reports and other documentation.
• Evaluating the difference between the rules of Divisions 1 and 2, and learning about the latest developments in the rapidly advancing field of pressure equipment inspection and repairs
• Receiving an overview of the work being performed by API, ASME, and PVRC,in the related areas.

Trainer: Mr. Kamran
Mr. Kamran Mokhtarian, P.E (USA), has 40 years of experience in design, fabrication, inspection and repair of pressure vessels and performing technical consulting for many prestigious oil and gas engineering companies like Exxon, Shell, BP, Petrobas, Petro Canada and Syncrude. He is the author  and vice chairman of subcommittee VIII of the ASME Code Committee and he is the instructor for all ASME on Section VIII, Divison 1 and Divison 2.
