March 8, 2013 - PRLog -- AVON LAKE, OHIO – Mike Zenone, DEI’s Business Development Manager, will conduct an hour long seminar on the many DEI and Boom Mat products that provide a cost effective and easy way to protect under hood components from damaging heat and thermal and acoustic control products to  improve interior comfort. The seminar is titled: “Thermal Protection & Sound Deadening”

Using DEI products to protect under-hood components from damaging heat and keep your interior cool and quiet the Boom Mat way. Boom Mat is the acoustic and thermal division of Design Engineering, Inc. (DEI). Boom Mat offers a wide selection of products that can help improve interior acoustics and insulate from unwanted heat; all with easy installation.

All modified street vehicles have an acoustical signature that can benefit from one or more Boom Mat products such as Boom Mat’s Heat Moldable Sound and Moisture Barrier which can be cut to fit door panels, floor pans, fire walls, transmission tunnels, inner fender walls, rear quarter panels, behind back seats or placed on trunk floors to improve interior cabin sound quality. Boom Mat’s flagship product -  Under Carpet Lite, provides both thermal insulation and sound absorption in a light weight package and  is designed to fit under carpet, headliners or on firewalls;  most anywhere in the interior of a vehicle.

Zenone will share the features and benefits of all Boom Mat Products: Damping Material, Sound Deadening Headliner and Window Side Kit for Jeep, Under Carpet, Speaker Baffles, Under Hood Thermal Acoustic Lining and much more. He says, “We constantly field calls of people that have a heat and noise issue. This will be a great way to see the full product line and understand how they can work together for best results. The seminar will cover the basics of installation and some tried and true tips on handling particularly noisy areas of a vehicle. Once you have added turbos, or a performance exhaust it is easy for  noise and heat to be an issue.”

DEI’s Thermal Protection and Sound Deadening seminar is scheduled under Session 5 as choice for seminars covering Interior and Electrical. The seminar takes place on Thursday, March 14 at 2:15 p.m.in Room #143, For more information on the Hot Rod & Restoration education and training program, contact Travis Weeks, Producer, at 951-371-8519, or email Travis at travis@nbm.com.
