Snowballing in Langport - A Christmas Promotion

Dec. 14, 2012 - PRLog -- The festive season is well underway in Langport where many independent businesses have joined together to give out Snowflake vouchers.  Every time you spend £25 in a shop taking part, you will be given a snowflake voucher which will give you £5 discounts.  Take your voucher to any of the traders displaying the Snowflake notice and you will collect your discount of £5. That’s every time you spend £50 or more. Where else can you buy in one shop and get your discount in another?

The idea behind this is to highlight the wonderful variety of independent shops in, what many consider to be, the smallest town in England. The town has the added benefit of free parking. If you are looking for something a little different for the home, beautiful clothing, special gifts for friends or pets, you can find it all on this little town’s high street. Any time you feel you have earned a well-earned break why not pop into one of the many cafes and restaurants.

Susan Khan of Lafleure says “The prospect of people wandering around Langport with Snowflake Vouchers in their hands creates an image of a wonderful festive atmosphere. The whole town will be abuzz with happy shoppers finding their perfect gifts and traditional Christmas fare.”

You may use your snowflakes as many times as you want until 22 December 2012. When you have finished your Christmas shopping, just hand your voucher in. Your voucher will then be entered into the Langport Area Business Group's New Year Draw. One lucky shopper will win £50 of Lafleure gift vouchers.

Mr Chris Osborne, Chair of the Langport Town Council adds “This is just another example of our independent traders and businesses coming together to demonstrate that the town is very much open for business and that if you know where to look, you can find everything you need here in Langport”.
