Prior to engaging Revize to develop its new website, for Bruce Township, having a single webmaster had become a terrible inconvenience.  “We had a gentleman who had created and was updating our website, but we wanted to be able to update the information ourselves,” explained Deputy Clerk Dorothy Sochowicz.  The decision to bring Revize on board to accomplish that goal was an easy one.  “They didn’t come to us and tell us what to do...  They wanted to hear our ideas.  And our board was very happy with the price.”

According to Sochowicz, Township staff members are now able to make changes to about 95 percent of the site content themselves.  She was particularly impressed with the manner in which Revize got everyone up to speed on working with the new site.  “They had a layperson do the training with us so that it wouldn’t be too technical.”  Having a retired teacher as the trainer worked very well, and, inevitably, Bruce employees still have occasional questions for Revize.  Fortunately, according to Sochowicz, “They’ve been helpful ever since.”

The Bruce Township board was also quite pleased with how quickly the site building process moved.  “The site was up within a month, so Revize’s initial time estimate for the work was right on,” said Sochowicz.

But best of all, Bruce Township residents have been very receptive to the new site.  “We’ve gotten really positive feedback,” Sochowicz said.

Additional new municipal clients that Revize is pleased to welcome include the City of Green Cove Springs, FL; Saginaw Township, MI; and Paradise Township, MI, to name a few.

“Having an informative and up-to-date website can be a daunting task for municipalities and corporations alike,” said Higgins, noting that it’s often the case that the content owners are the people who know what changes need to be made to their entity’s website, but they lack the technical skills, or access to execute those changes.  Moreover, the people with the technical skills, usually the IT Departments, don’t have the time to accommodate those types of requests.  “That, in a nutshell, is the problem we set out to solve more than a decade ago with the Revize CMS.”
