Munger Construction Invests In Technology-Based Work Environment

Nov. 14, 2012 - PRLog -- Branford, CT; Pat Munger Construction Company, Inc. has upgraded its technology-based work environment with an infrastructure that complements its recent investment in design tools and cloud based collaboration tools.  The goal is to significantly enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of key Munger processes including estimating, business development, field management and project management.  Also, this will position Munger to better serve customers who prefer to work with partners who can integrate with their own automated processes.

The new infrastructure includes wireless access throughout the office for smart phones, laptops and pad computers.  Smart phone apps support file sharing, weather forecasting, compass, construction software, and scheduling.  Microsoft Project is the company's standard for project management and enables Munger managers to collaborate with customers who use MS Project themselves.  Dual monitors enable estimators to multitask on a given project.

As the company grows, new employees will need to become proficient in using these tools.  A shared workstation will be their first step for acclimating themselves with the new tools and quickly becoming effective in using them as part of their daily regimen.
