Sept. 15, 2012 - PRLog -- PRIDE Learning Centers, a rapidly expanding one-on-one tutoring service designed to help students with reading and learning disabilities from Pre-K through 12th grade, offers the community of Redondo Beach, California a specialized catch-up and get ahead in school program.

The rise of one-on-one tutoring for students with learning challenges is becoming almost essential in the Los Angeles and Orange County communities.  Due to heightened program cutbacks for students in the public, private and governmental programs, parents are desperately seeking outside resources to help their children obtain the proper intervention and remediation they need to succeed in life.

“PRIDE is not like a typical tutoring center,” says Karina Richland, founder of PRIDE Learning Center.  “We specialize with students that need to learn differently.  About 90% of our students have an IEP in their current schools for dyslexia, auditory processing, visual processing, ADHD and other learning disabilities.”

In addition to only hiring teachers with teaching credentials, PRIDE Learning Center also makes sure that all of their teachers have a strong background in Special Education and have gone through a vigorous training program in multisensory and Orton-Gillingham teaching approaches.   PRIDE is staffed with exceptionally experienced and creative teachers that make learning fun while at the same time building self-confidence and a love of learning.

PRIDE Learning Center currently has other locations in West Los Angeles, Newport Beach and Mission Viejo.
