Follow on Google News | Ad Council’s Oral Health Campaign Will Support What Kids Dentists Have Been Saying for YearsKids Dentists at East Harlem Dental Plaza are excited to announce that Ad Council’s Oral Health Campaign will be reflecting recommendations and oral hygiene solutions for America’s children.
By: East Harlem Dental Plaza As many dentists for kids will tell you, getting a young child to sit still long enough in the dentist’s chair can be quite a challenge. This is why East Harlem Dental Plaza tries to make oral hygiene as fun as possible for children in order for them to want to continue at home, and they are excited to see that the Ad Council is taking the same approach. Healthy Mouths, Healthy Lives is the new Ad Council campaign for oral health. If you think you are unfamiliar with the Ad Council, if you know the sayings “Friends Don’t Let Friends Drive Drunk” and “Only You Can Prevent Forest Fires” then you are already family with their work. According to their own website, “The Ad Council produces, distributes and promotes public service campaigns on behalf of non-profit organizations and government agencies in issue areas such as improving the quality of life for children, preventive health, education, community well-being and strengthening families.” The East Harlem Dental Plaza kids dentists wish to share the news of this first dental health campaign, especially since the goal of the effort is to improve children’s oral health. Not only will some great information be given to the parents about the do’s and don’ts of tooth care. One of the main drives of the campaign is to get kids brush two minutes a day, twice a day or “2MIN2X” and to find their website, simply add a “.com” There are plenty of helpful tips like what kind of toothbrush and how much toothpaste to use for different age groups. It is easy to see that the Ad Council has tried to make dental care fun. One of the main features of the website is an array of two minute video posted for the sole purpose of entertainment while brushing. The idea is that the child can choose one of the two minute shorts then brush and watch so they are having fun and keeping time. If children can incorporate these healthy habits into a daily routine, they can easily become part of a lifetime routine for healthy teeth and won’t need to see an esthetic dentist to fix unsightly damage. With thirty-five partners in the Healthy Mouths, Healthy Lives campaign, from esthetic dentistry to general dentistry, hopefully the resulting awareness added to the informations and checkups that the East Harlem Dental Plaza can provide will keep little smiles bright and healthy - http://dentistsinharlem.com/ End
