Sept. 8, 2012 - PRLog -- MED-Q a Completely New Medication Reminder Pill Box for seniors. Past pill boxes are nothing more than a palstic box with the days of the week printed on the top. MED-Q has redesigned the Pillbox concepept from the ground up.

Inventor, Lee DeMar went right to the source for his market research. He interviewed hundreds and hundreds of RN's and LPN's to find out the problem from people who were dealing with it each and every day. Forgetting and mistakes was the Number One and Number 2 problems. Mr. Demar says, Their input was invaluable to focus a design to address the two biggest issues

The forgetting portion of the problem was solved with an audio reminder. Program the times and the MED-Q sounds an escalating alarm that keeps beeping until the user hears it and then takes there medication. medication is designed to work for specific periods of time to get the maximum benefit, so proper timing is extremely important. The second issue to be addressed was taking the wrong medication. The MED-Q has a Bright LED flashing light that illuminates the individual compartment of pills to be taken as the alarm is beeping. The user takes the pills in the lite up compartment so their can be no mistakes or mix-ups. The combinations of alerts is exactly what Nurses have asked for
