Sept. 14, 2012 - PRLog -- In August 2012 TRC Social Media launched the only Licensed Independent 24/7 Urban Internet Radio station in the Greater Los Angeles area streaming @UrbanIndieRadio.com. Their vision is to become a strong voice for the Urban Artist and Entrepreneur in the emerging New Media realm that is the Internet.

For the past 2 years the company has been servicing the needs of Independent (unsigned) Music Artist’s. TRC Social Media is a multi-media digital outlet which provides content distribution throughout various platforms including Internet Radio. In it’s first month of operation the station has featured notable independent artists such as El Debarge Jr, Chinkie Brown & Lil Scrappy, HI FIVE and others.

#1 When will my song air?

We use a 20- 25 slot rotation. Your song is assigned a position and is played there. You will have to listen until you hear it. If we put your song in Heavy Rotation it will occupy 2 slots and therefore be heard twice every 25 songs etc. Once your paid period is over- at our discretion we keep your song in our random playlist.. because of our licensing agreements we cannot offer On Demand features.


#2 Do I get paid for Spins on your station?

You do not receive any royalty payments from us. We pay our Licensing fee’s to Ascap, Sesac, BMI, that is our commitment. We are dedicated to operating a legal station which does not TAKE from Artists. We will maintain standard agreements with the performance rights organizations. How artist retrieve their royalties from Sesac, BMI, or Ascap is between the Artist and his/her organization.


#3 Can i get interviewed on your station?

We are now arranging interviews as part of our programming. We also offer Artists opportunity to appear in our  “Noise” section- FULL PAGE FEATURE, or,  “Tha Daily Spin” @ 1800Rant.com and we’ll conduct a feature interview/article.
