Aug. 28, 2012 - PRLog -- The "Ride For Ayla" is open to the public and all are encouraged to attend. One does not have to ride in order  to participate.  All motorcycle groups will gather, at the end of their ride, at the Big Moose Harley-Davidson shop at 375 Riverside St Portland, ME 04103.

From 8:30 am to 9:30 am, members from the LostNMissing organization will be at the LA Harley and Central Maine Motor Sports,  (located in the same complex) in Lewiston, Maine, to give posters that can be placed on the backs of the riders for missing Ayla Reynolds.  The Lewiston motorcyle group, at LA Harley and Central Maine Motor Sports,
will also be holding a pre-established Blood Drive event for the Red Cross from 8:30 am - 2:30 pm.  They have generously donated a gift certificate and many of their riders, following their blood donation, will also participate in the "Ride For Ayla."   Riders for Ayla can have coffee, donuts and a Red Sox T-Shirt if they choose to donate blood.

Between 8:30 – 9:30 am, riders (and donors) can also purchase tickets for the gift card raffle to be held at Big Moose Harley-Davidson. Tickets are $5 (or 3 for $10) and all proceeds are donated to LostNMissing Inc. a 501c3 non-profit charity organization who is dedicated to helping law enforcement and families locate their missing loved ones. They manage the case for Ayla Reynolds, missing since December 2011 in Waterville, ME.

Cynthia Caron, of LostNMissing, says "All New England bikers who wish to participate are encouraged to start from their local dealerships in the morning and end their Ride for Ayla at Big Moose Harley-Davidson around 12:30. Don’t ride a motorcycle? – This will be a rain or shine community event and we encourage people to drive, or walk, for Ayla as well! "

The afternoon will be spent enjoying live radio remote with 107.5 Frank (WFNK) and a $5 per person BBQ meal that begins at 1:00 pm.

Tables will be set with information on other missing loved ones as well as important safety information for the public.  Caron further explains "We are hoping that all families with a missing loved one will come and share information with the public to help bring awareness for their missing loved one. This is a great opportunity." Some of the other families that LostNMissing works with, whom will be present, is the family of Fay Johnson, 62, of Bethel, who has been missing since March 7, 2012 and the family of  Jason Reil, 33, of Brunswick, who has been missing since Jan. 12., 2012.
