Amazon challenged to donate profits from Vick's book to animal welfare charities.

July 26, 2012 - PRLog -- Chicago IL... Keith Sanderson, Chicago area animal advocate and writer has created a petition at Change.org. The peition   challenges Amazon CEO Jeffrey P Bezos to donate the profits derived from any sales of Michael Vick's autobiography 'Free Again,' to animal welfare charities.

"It's time corporations stopped making  profits from the past misdeeds of footballer and felon Michael Vick." Says Sanderson. "Vick was convicted on a plea bargain for bankrolling a dog fighting ring. Dog fighting is far more than the sadistic sport of pitting to dogs to fight sometimes to the death. It's about inhumane treatment of dogs from their birth through their death."

According to Sanderson, "It's proven there is a relationship between inhumane treatment of animals and interpersonal violence. It's time we stopped making excuses for people who abuse animals and rewarding them with money."

Vick's book is slated for release in September. His promoters are banking on the fact his tarnished brand is so hot they can charge $99.95 for 7,777 autographed special edition books. The price for a regular edition of his book is $24.95.
