July 16, 2012 - PRLog -- Questionable employee activity calls for a closer look at what the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA) refers to as “protected concerted activity”. The act refers to employee doings in which an employer cannot retaliate against – such as employee assistance to labor unions or self-organization.

In some cases, employers are not fully aware of the rights employees have against an employer. According to Atlantic Steel, “there is protected concerted activity when two or more employees act together to improve their terms and conditions of employment”, meaning just two members need to band together over upset in the business.

Even further, employee conversations broadcasted via social media (Facebook, Twitter) are also protected against retaliation. Given its common usage, it is crucial that employers tune into information regarding employee rights in the workplace.
