BKD Promotes Chris Clifton to Senior Managing Consultant

June 27, 2012 - PRLog -- INDIANAPOLIS, IN. – Rob Wagner, BKD, LLP managing partner, announces the promotion of Christopher Clifton to Senior Managing Consultant.  Clifton delivers unmatched client service, embraces change and shows dedication to the firm’s values and the accounting industry.  He assumed the new role on June 1, 2012.

Career paths at BKD are divided into levels, and each position is defined by its own set of duties, responsibilities and competencies requiring cumulative and advanced degrees of education, training and experience.  Personnel also must demonstrate their leadership abilities as coaches and mentors, as well as active community members.  Individuals become candidates for promotion after successfully mastering their existing level.

“Chris has a unique ability to deal with very complex cross border tax issues,” Wagner said.  “He has added great value to BKD multinational clients by helping them solve complex international tax issues.”

Clifton specializes in international tax planning and compliance for domestic and foreign corporations.  He assists multinational companies in areas such as foreign tax credits, subpart F, withholding taxes and income tax treaties.

He is a 1999 graduate of Bob Jones University, Greenville, South Carolina, with a B.S. degree in accounting, and a 2001 graduate of Indiana University, Bloomington, with an M.Acc. degree with an emphasis on taxation.
