BAM Outsource Makes Their Wimbledon 2012 Predictions

BAM Outsource is already enjoying this year’s Wimbledon and has started to make their speculations about who will be crowned champions on 7th and 8th July.

June 26, 2012 - PRLog -- BAM Outsource was surprised by some of yesterday’s events with previous five-time winner of the women’s title, Venus Williams being beaten in the first round by Elena Vesina. Another shock of the first round matches was 6th seeded Tomas Berdych’s exit to Ernests Gulbis, ranked only 87th in the world. An encouraging victory for British player Heather Watson was achieved, as she became the first British woman since 1985 to win on Centre Court, and she’s only 20 years of age! BAM Outsource will be watching closely to see how far she can go in the rest of the tournament.

In terms of the draw, BAM Outsource was sad to see British favourite Andy Murray has found himself with a number of potentially difficult opponents including former world number three Nikolay Davydenko in the first round and then seasoned players such as 6ft. 10in. Ivo Karlovic later on. If he manages to make it to the semi final, it is likely he will play two-time champion Rafael Nadal, whilst the other semi final is expected to be between Federer and Djokovic.

Potential players that BAM Outsource feel will do well at this year’s women’s tournament are:
-Maria Sharapova, current world number one whose recent win at the French Open will have given her the confidence needed to gain the Wimbledon title.
-Petra Kvitova was last year’s Wimbledon winner and BAM Outsource will be watching closely in her opening round match against Amanmuradova to see if she looks likely to do it again!
-Serena Williams, although an older member of the draw, with the experience of five previous Wimbledon titles there is no reason why she would not be able to achieve another victory.

Despite the number of talented male players such as Jo Wilfred Tsonga and David Ferrer, BAM Outsource still believes the male competition is primarily between top players Djokovic, Nadal and Federer. Nadal’s strong form at the French Open however, suggests he may be able to gain victory at the All England Tennis Club again this year.

BAM Outsource looks forward to another two weeks of nail biting sport, and hopes that British hopes can be restored after a poor result at Euro 2012.
