SZMANIA'S Restaurant Introduces New Menu, Curbside Delivery Service

June 20, 2012 - PRLog -- The new summer menu at SZMANIA'S Restaurant & Bar in Magnolia features significant changes with a focus on over a dozen small plates, several “sharable” items and more happy hour options.

The restaurant that has served up award-winning food for over 22 years is now offering its guests a wider variety, while maintaining its popular grilled items.

Also new is SZMANIA'S curbside delivery for call-ahead to-go orders. The full menu is available for this service: pull up the menu online, call in your order and it will be delivered curbside to your car.

“We are going in the direction of today’s changing eating habits,” said owner Julie Szmania. “People want to share, they want smaller plates and they want many affordable options. I think we give them all of that, with the same quality preparation Chef Ludger has always taken with his cooking.”

Small plates and sharable items range from a country plate with savory pate and Brie crostini, a German sampler with Gruyere fondue and house made pretzels to Gorgonzola beef sliders and gazpacho, multiple seafood options (oysters two ways, steamed clams and seared sea scallops, halibut cheeks and house-smoked salmon).

On the grill side of the menu are all natural beef burgers; New York, filet mignon and rib eye steaks; beef tenderloin skewers; a pork chop and bacon wrapped stuffed chicken breast, all served with potato side choices.

SZMANIA’S continues to offer larger plate selections, including the return of “Julie’s Special,” featuring the fresh fish of the day on a bed of sautéed greens, topped with sautéed mushrooms, prawns and scallops. Ludger’s signature Jägerschnitzel, summer vegetarian linguine and sirloin steak and Nicoise salads are a few of the other large plate offerings.

Happy hour in the bar or on the patio features an extended menu (including German sampler, steamed clams, oysters, smoked salmon and more) with reduced prices on wine and beer choices, 4-6 pm and 8:30 to close daily.

Monday through Thursday, “Four to Six” Early Bird Dinners return, from 4-6 pm, and all night Monday, with a 3-course rotating dinner menu for just $19.95.

SZMANIA'S will continue with its frequent promotions and special occasion dining options, including monthly “Sip & Dip” wine events and BBQ Family Sundays.
