By: BAM Outsource The Thames River Pageant involved a flotilla of one thousand boats with the Royal Barge at the centre holding the Queen and other members of the Royal Family. The route took the boats from Battersea Bridge to Tower Bridge where the Royal Barge docked and watched the remaining boats go past. Looking resplendent in white against the red velvet background of the boat the Queen waved to the crowds for over 3 hours. Peterborough- The managing director of BAM Outsource made the trip down to London to enjoy the weekend of celebrations. “We had a fantastic spot right on the bank near Tower Bridge, although the rain was coming down hard by the time the boats reached us, the route was packed and the atmosphere wasn’t dampened in any way.” Though it was undoubtedly a cold afternoon the Royal Family could be seen to be enjoying themselves with Prince Philip showing the biggest smile of the day. One of the team at BAM Outsource, who watched the procession from the South Bank, could see the Queen pointing up at the display including the horse from the highly acclaimed play, War Horse. The costume, controlled by three men, ran across the top of the Royal Festival Hall and saluted the Queen as she went by. A spokesperson for BAM Outsource believes that the Jubilee celebrations are more than just a fun day out. “These celebrations are a great trial run for the Olympics. Managing the logistics of 1 million people, the transport and the policing, is no mean feat. It is also incredibly good for business. Restaurants and shops along the route were heaving all day and it’s bringing tourists into the country. Finally it’s a fantastic way for the country to celebrate its heritage and the street parties around the country have been great for community spirit. At BAM Outsource we’re looking forward to the concert at the palace tonight and the parade as well.” BAM Outsource is a outsource sales and marketing company offering explosive marketing for a fast-paced world.
