Retired Biochemistry and Microbiologist Publishes Book That Defends Creation

Biochemistry and microbiology professor publishes book on his views of Creation.

May 2, 2012 - PRLog -- RINGGOLD, Ga. – George Javor, PhD, an emeritus research professor of biochemistry and microbiology at Loma Linda University School of Medicine, recently published a book titled A Scientist Celebrates Creation.

The book examines the existence of God and His creative power. Javor presents readers with evidence from the solar system down to the miniscule organisms he has spent his life researching—Escherichia coli.

In the last chapter of the book, Javor provides readers with a personal glimpse into his life and career. From surviving World War II in Hungary as a Jew, to moving to the United States, to dedicating his life to science and God, Javor shares his life experiences.

Currently residing in New Leipzig, North Dakota, Javor retired from full-time teaching at Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, Calif., in 2006. His teaching career included serving as a professor at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Mich., for eleven years.

Javor spent his career working in the laboratory studying Escherichia coli and other bacteria. In addition, he taught biochemistry to undergraduate, graduate, and medical students. As a scientist committed to creationism, he has dedicated himself to providing evidence of a Creator in the world of science through written articles and speaking engagements.

In the course of his career, he has published more than fifty technical papers and abstracts in the area of biochemistry and a similar number of articles on science and its relation to the Bible. He has also written three previous books—this is his fourth title.

Javor holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Brown University and a doctoral degree in biochemistry from Columbia University. In addition, he completed post-doctoral studies at Rockefeller University.

A Scientist Celebrates Creation is published by TEACH Services, and is available through the publisher’s Web site (http://www.TEACHServices.com), Amazon, Barnes & Noble, or local bookstores by request.
