Neena Gupta inaugurates Capital’s first Art Walk
March 19th, 2012, Delhi: Capital’s first ever Art Walk from March 23rd to 25th, 2012 was held at the DLF Promenade Hub. The Renge Art Walk was inaugurated by renowned actress Neena Gupta who came to encourage and support the emerging artists.
Renge Art Walk is an initiative by Ms. Gopa Kumar and Ms. Shalini Vig Wadhwa, who are passionate art lovers and share a common goal of promoting emerging artists by giving them a platform to showcase their work. The group art show witnessed a display of 200 artworks by more than 40 artists from various walks of life. The artists participating in the Renge Art walk range from the age group of 18 to 75 years. Even the physically and financially challenged ones who have been associated with Renge ART, have the zeal to paint the canvas in their own vibrant colours.
The art work at Renge narrates many stories in myriad colours. Every artist at Renge has a matchless talent. For instance artist Rajesh Baderia invokes the power of colour and shape in his abstract works. Most of his works express transcendence by using colour in its purest state. Priyendra Shukla another specialised artist believes that the brushes and colours talk to him and testifies his thoughts and expressions via his artworks.
Some of the talented artists who displayed their work at the Renge Art Walk are Rajesh Baderia, Premila Singh, Bhavna Rastogi, Kingson Swargiary, Priyendra Shukla, Mahood Ahmed, Jatin Chaudhary, Archana Gera, Balwinder Tanwar, Alan Dougans, Ritesh Negi and more. The Renge Art Walk witnessed the participation of both well established artists as well as the emerging talent.
“Renge is an art boutique with an innovative mind. Here we have got together to promote the student artist exuding exceptional talent and bring him/her straight to the platform of exhibiting his works to the buyers. It is our passion and innermost desire to put forth artists who cannot afford, yet have serious talent - to showcase their work in a module which reaches out to the art yearning public. It is their support and the emerging artists enthusiasm which has encouraged us to lead this initiative forward.
We have aspired to sieve through the talented artists who have the potential to reach the very pinnacles of the art world and it gives me immense satisfaction to see this job well done and well received” quoted, Ms. Gopa Kumar, the Founder of Renge Art.
