Follow on Google News | ![]() Double Whammy For Aurion Learning At IITD Awards, 2012It was a great night for Aurion Learning at the recent Irish Institute of Training & Development (IITD) Awards as two Aurion projects were recognised for their outstanding achievement in the Most Innovative Use of Technology category.

The LEAD – Living Equality & Diversity e-learning project which involved six Irish universities (Trinity College, Dublin; University of Limerick; National University of Galway; University College, Cork; University College, Dublin; and Dublin City University) has been designed to promote workplace equality at each of the participating institutions. Available to over 16,000 staff, it’s a prime example of how collaboration between subject matter experts and the innovative use of technology can result in huge financial savings and a top class training product. Meanwhile the successful partnership between St. James’s Hospital, Dublin and Aurion Learning in developing St. James’s Hospital Online Learning Hub was also recognised. The online learning environment, which includes a suite of e-learning programmes; online libraries and training resources; and collaborative learning networks, supports St. James’s 3,500 staff access training 24/7. Speaking about the awards, Gavin Woods, Sales Manager said: “The IITD awards recognise those organisations who deliver innovative training that achieves quantifiable results. We are delighted that two of our client projects have been recognised in this way and extend our congratulations to both the IUA Equality Network and St. James’s Hospital on their ’Outstanding Achievement Awards.” The awards event took place on the 9th March 2012 in the Killashee House Hotel, Naas, Co. Kildare.
