The Chef’s Academy National Division President Named To Wake Ed. Partnership Programs CommitteeJayson M. Boyers To Oversee Programmatic Work For Nonprofit Dedicated To Wake County Schools
As a member of the programs committee, Boyers will work with the organization’ Boyers was the dean at Indiana Business College, which became Harrison College, before heading up the college’s culinary division as regional president in 2005. He is a Rotarian and has served on multiple boards of directors for nonprofits, including Now for the Future, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina, and Gleaners Food Bank. The Chef’s Academy staff, faculty and students supported Gleaners Food Bank through their involvement in the Taste of the NFL's signature fund-raising event in Indianapolis the night before the Super Bowl in Indianapolis in 2012. This event raises millions for hunger relief and supported food banks in every NFL city. Boyers has served on the International Dyslexia Association, Indiana Chapter; the MLK Montessori School Board; the Invent Tomorrow Bi-Partisan Commission Government Efficiency; and the Social Marketing Roundtable. His professional designations and affiliations include FLMI (Fellow, Life Management Institute), Edge Certification and Endorsement, and North Carolina Restaurant and Lodging Association (NCRLA). Boyers maintains membership in the Greater Raleigh Chamber Board of Advisors and is a Morrisville Chamber member. He received Triangle Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Leadership Award in 2011.
