| Applying Blusher with the Carlton InstituteThis may seem a fairly simple makeup step but it can easily go terribly wrong. Either you apply too much and look red-faced, or too much and appear washed out without any definition to the cheekbones.
By: Georgina Stocks Blusher should normally be applied with a light touch to the apples of the cheeks. You can always put more products on, but it’s harder to take off. If you do think you’ve applied too much, use your foundation brush to take the edge off the colour. Blusher comes in cream, powder and compact form. When applying the products you will most likely need a brush. These come in many different shapes and sizes, but your standard domed brush is fine. Try applying it straight on, or even with the sides of the bristles to see what works for you. Brushes with shorter hairs will take more product on them, whilst using a brush with a dome that is more pointed towards the end will apply blush in one area, blending the area around it. If you want to focus the makeup product in a particular place, then use a smaller dome shaped brush. Makeup courses (http://www.beauty- End
