![]() Search Teavana's Loose-Leaf Teas By Region And Type - RateTea Redesign Offers New PossibilitiesRateTea, an online community for rating and reviewing teas, has redesigned its pages for brands of tea, including Teavana's, adding easier functionality of browsing and searching Teavana's loose-leaf teas by region of production and style (type).
By: Alex Zorach / Merit Exchange LLC Teavana's Page on RateTea: RateTea's page on Teavana offers a number of key features and functionality that go above and beyond those offered on Teavana's website. Teavana classifies teas into the broad categories of white, green, oolong, black, herbal, rooibos, and mate (yerba mate). These classifications, while satisfactory for a number of consumers, may be inconvenient for enthusiasts of pure teas, as they lump flavored teas of one category (like green tea) in with pure teas. In addition, Teavana's classification of teas in each category includes blends that include other types of tea, such as blends listed under white tea which contain both white and green tea. For pure tea enthusiasts, RateTea offers a solution to this problem, separating pure teas from flavored teas, and allowing users of the site to easily and separately browse Teavana's offerings of pure teas, or their offerings of flavored teas. In addition, blends containing multiple types of tea are separated, based on their ingredient list as provided by Teavana, into flavored teas of a specific type, and miscellaneous blends containing more than one type of tea, or containing both tea and Yerba mate (another caffeinated plant).
