| AHEF Co-Founder Eugenie Sampson Kamrath Gonzalez Wins Daughters of the American Revolution AwardAmerican Heritage Education Foundation, Inc. (AHEF) leaders reap national awards for their patriotic education efforts.

Gonzalez was recently presented the 2011 highest education award from the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) for "Outstanding Achievement Through Educational Pursuits." DAR awarded its prestigious Mary Smith Lockwood Medal for Education to Gonzalez on October 7, 2011 in Houston, TX. Gonzalez and her deceased husband, AHEF Co-Founder Dr. Richard J. Gonzalez, had previously been awarded the National Society for the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) Good Citizenship Medal "in recognition of notable services in behalf of our American principles." AHEF co-founder, Jack Kamrath was awarded SAR’s most prestigious national award, its “Distinguished Patriot Award” in recognition of his leadership in preserving America’s heritage and the teaching of good citizenship principles. Previous honorees of the SAR Distinguished Patriot Award include President George W. Bush, Frank Buckles (last surviving American Solder of World War I), Bob Hope and General William Westmoreland. AHEF is the nation’s largest provider of free K-12 patriotic lesson plans to teachers, families and schools in all 50 states to help all Americans better know and understand the founding ideals of America in order to preserve and strengthen the country.
