By: Mark Garnham The Toastmaster Speechcraft program is designed to teach participants how to speak confidently to a group of people and to learn more about the Toastmasters communication and leadership programs. People who wish to gain confidence presenting to large audiences and speaking “off the cuff” (without preparation) Experienced Toastmasters also attend the course to act as mentors to participants, assist with evaluations and to demonstrate correct presentation techniques while presenting educational material themselves. The speechcraft course is a learn-by-doing program that focuses on weekly participation to build the skills necessary for you to become a confident presenter. A typical speechcraft course will run for 6 to 8 weeks and usually has around ten participants to ensure maximum one on one training opportunities. The course is suitable for anyone over the age of 18 and is ideal for people needing to enhance their presentation techniques for business or community leadership opportunities. All participants who complete the course receive a certificate of achievement in recognition of their efforts. Those who register before 10th Dec 2011 receive a significant discount – be in quick!
