Nov. 21, 2011 - PRLog -- Learn to Earn Curriculum is designed to help students develop an understanding of how small businesses operate in our diverse culture. This course of study is designed for any age family member. This course of study is designed to be academic by nature, but with a strong application methodology.

The Learn to Earn Curriculum was created by Dr. Forrest E. Watson.  Based on his long-time involvement in education in various leadership roles, not only in the United States, but in several countries around the world, Dr. Watson has observed that the level of education is the major determining factor in the quality of life experienced by an individual.  Dr. Watson proposes that the solution is to engage the business community in supporting a worldwide system, especially targeting families, where comprehensive vocational, technical, and academic education can be conducted that will engage all ages that need appropriate education and/or training to meet their individual needs as well as the workforce in the business arena. It would be an organization of continuing education to provide the education/training individuals and the marketplace needs as changes occur.

Each student will learn how to fill out a job application and write their own resume. In addition, students will be able to write a business plan, write their company bylaws and incorporate their business. Students will also learn how to organize and manage their business, build a productive team spirit, develop their leadership skills and learn how to manage people. Building upon these skills, students will be able to market their product or service, financially operate a business and manage their personal finances. Tying everything together, students will know how to succeed by setting life goals.
