Los Gatos Dental Group, Montel Williams, Provide Care for Our Veterans

Nov. 11, 2011 - PRLog -- The dentists at Los Gatos Dental Group are committed to providing exceptional dental care to patients all over California and have recently gotten involved in a venture that helps give free dental care to select US troops. As part of the Academy of Comprehensive Esthetics (ACE) dedication to helping our troops our practice is dedicating its resources to help the A Soldiers Smile charity event. This event, hosted by ACE, allows dentists like Dr. Sawyer provide dental care to servicemen and women who are unable to get the dental care they deserve.
To help spread the word about the A Soldiers Smile events, decorated Naval officer and talk show celebrity Montel Williams will be helping to endorse the cause. He has already been interviewed on national TV and discussed the event as well as the dentists who are involved. It is obviously an exciting time for dentists who are involved in the ACE association as they are helping to improve the lives of our troops.
As part of the dentistry services provided, Dr. Sawyer and other dentists will be helping restore the teeth of servicemen and women and will be providing cosmetic dentistry treatments where necessary. The goal of this event is to help as many soldiers as possible but obviously it would be difficult to help all the soldiers in need. As you may know, it can be very difficult for our vets to have access to the health care they need to stay healthy. Often budget cuts, hospital limitations or spending requirements can limit access to proper dental care. The law has restrictions on providing health care for veterans based on their condition in or out of service and their income level. These laws are under scrutiny from many veterans as well as politicians but rather than waiting for action to happen ACE dentists and Montel are taking matters into their own hands to help out.
This Friday November 11th marks Veteran’s Day so please remember to thank a veteran or a troop who has dedicated her/himself to our freedom.
