Nov. 4, 2011 - PRLog -- As the sole UK supplier of Aquatherm plastic pipes and fittings, Ashworth, leading distributor to the mechanical services and process industries markets, is pleased to announce considerable growth within this innovative product range.

Since Ashworth first partnered with Aquatherm in 2009, sales of the polypropylene (PPR-80) piping systems have increased significantly – in 2010 figures were doubled against the previous year and in 2011 this looks set to happen again.

Keith Allen, Product Manager for Ashworth, comments: “We are extremely proud of our successful partnership with Aquatherm.  At Ashworth, we strive to offer our customers the most innovative product ranges and services, so that they can differentiate their own service to their clients.  The wide range of Aquatherm products, coupled with the specialist expertise provided by Aquatherm and our regional training centres, delivers a complete product solution, which we feel has been key to this significant growth.”

Key to the success of the Aquatherm range, which offers a high-quality and cost effective alternative to copper and steel, are the specialist training centres based within Ashworth’s Radcliffe, Wednesfield and Bristol branches (supported by Aquatherm).  Equipped to provide advanced technical support, as well as hands-on product training, the centres provide Ashworth customers with the skills and product knowledge to ensure installation is quick and efficient, with minimum fuss on site.  What’s more, a pre-fabrication service is available for large diameter applications to speed up installation time even further.

Another benefit of the Aquatherm range is that its high-quality polypropylene construction means it does not suffer from the same drawbacks that surround copper and steel alternatives.  The high price of metal in today’s market makes the theft of piping both before and after installation a constant threat – plastic pipes neatly solve this problem.  In addition, a hot works permit is not required to install Aquatherm products.

The Aquatherm range encompasses the Fusiotherm, Climatherm and Aquatherm SHT pipe systems for potable and chilled water and heating installations; Climasystem heating and cooling system; Aquathern underfloor heating systems; Firestop sprinkler pipe systems; and Aquatherm Lilac, a colour coded pipe system for non-potable water from reclaimed and recycled sources. The full range is available across Ashworth’s network of strategically located branches, which serve all the major conurbations and surrounding territories.
