Santa Helps Spread Cheer to Local Kids

Nov. 2, 2011 - PRLog -- This is the third year for Santa Energy to formally promote the “Letters From Santa” program but because of the company’s name, it has been receiving inquiries relating to Mr. Clause for years.

Tom Santa, Santa Energy’s current President and CEO reflects on the first time he received a call from a boy trying to reach Santa Claus.  “The young boy had dialed 1-800-93-SANTA which is our residential services phone number.  He was hoping to reach the North Pole, but instead he got me.  He told me what he wanted for Christmas and that he had been good all year.  I made sure that his request got to the proper Santa.”

The employees of Santa Energy were the ones who suggested that the letter program be formalized.  “We started letting our customers know that their children or grandchildren could send Santa a letter at our address and we would arrange to have letters go back to those children from Santa,” explained Mr. Santa.

Mr. Santa provided insight into the letters they get, “The letters we have received in the past are quite varied. The letters from the younger kids show how important Santa is to them.  They tell Santa that they love him and sometimes include a special message or artwork they created for him.  You can almost envision the magical expressions on their faces as they wrote it.  

Sometimes adults also send in letters and they often mention struggles they have faced during the year and are looking for help.  Maybe they look to Santa for hope and as a way to reconnect to simpler and happier times,” said Mr. Santa. “Whatever the reason for the letter coming to us, we are glad that the ‘Letters From Santa’ program can bring them something they need.”  

“’You can believe in Santa’ is the slogan for our company,” said Mr. Santa. “We think it is appropriate for our business all year long, but it takes on a special meaning at this time of year.”    

If a child or grandchild would like to receive a letter from Santa Clause this year, the child, or a grown up, can send a note to:

Include a mailing address for the reply along with the child’s name and gender.  Santa Energy will make sure that Santa sends a response to the child.
