Anticipating the Needs of New England Businesses

Sept. 9, 2011 - PRLog -- Santa Buckley Energy, the commercial division of Santa Energy Corporation, is celebrating 10 years as a fully-diversified energy company.  For decades, Santa Buckley, and its predecessor Buckley Brothers, had been the premier petroleum supplier to businesses throughout New England, but in 2001, Santa Buckley expanded its energy offering to include natural gas.

With the deregulation of natural gas for commercial accounts, Santa Energy realized there was an opportunity to expand its business.  “At that time, oil companies were oil companies and gas companies were gas companies,” said Tom Santa, President and CEO of Santa Energy.  “What we did was create one of the first energy companies focused on meeting the needs of its customers no matter what energy products they used.”  Santa continued, “A few years later, Santa Buckley even began offering electricity procurement so that we are now able to fulfill the complete energy needs of our customers.”

The expansion into natural gas turned out to be a prescient move for Santa.  In the past decade, many of the businesses using oil to heat their facility switched to natural gas.  Tim Costello, Vice President of Santa Buckley Energy remarked, “We are happy that we could continue to service our former oil customers instead of losing them to a natural gas supplier as many of the traditional oil companies experienced.”

“The fact that we are now an energy neutral supplier also provides many advantages to our customers,” commented Costello.  “For commercial accounts that use multiple fuels to heat their facility, these companies are able to work with one supplier – Santa Buckley.  And for those customers considering converting their systems to a different fuel, Santa Buckley is the perfect advisor since we have no vested interest in selling them one specific fuel.”

Costello summarized Santa’s reason for their 10 years of success in the natural gas business.  “By having a willingness to move beyond the business we were most familiar with in order to best meet our customers’ needs, we have been able to grow our business in new and exciting ways.”  Costello continued, “We look forward to continuing to serve our customers, whatever their energy needs may be, for another ten years and beyond.”
