The OnCell tour helps to engage and excite people about what is going on at Mass Hort and in the gardens. For example, during the composting demonstration tour, the cell phone tour allows people to learn about the composting process and how to set up a compost bin at their home. Listeners are also introduced to the historical significance of the Manor House and the Frederick Law Olmsted Brother’s Italianate Garden during the tour. “On a recent garden club tour, club remembers were especially delighted to hear the voices of the designers who designed the Bressingham Garden and Weezie’s Garden,” said Mass Hort President, Katherine Macdonald. The cell phone audio tour launched in early July of this year and is available during visiting hours: May through the end of October, 9am – 6pm.
