Scott Rockenfield of “Queensryche” special guest on this week’s “Live From Music City.”

Scott was raised and has lived in the Seattle, Washington area his entire life. He started music and drum lessons at the age of 11, and throughout his high school years he focused his studies on music and film classes. In addition to the phenomenal success of Queensryche, Scott can claim huge success in other musical arenas, such as scoring music for the film and television industries. After only a few years in the specialty, Scott received a coveted Grammy Award for Best Original Music for the animated feature film “Televoid.”

In 2003, Scott launched his own custom drum company, “RockenWraps,” which specializes in custom graphic laminated wraps for drums and musical instruments, having designed some of the most memorable drum and stage graphics ever to be available. He also has his own music company, “Hollywood Loops,” that specializes in Sound FX for film, television and video game composing. Hollywood Loops products have been used in video games such as “Call of Duty: Black Ops” and in numerous film and television trailers.

“Live From Music City” reaches and appeals to singers/musicians who have achieved at least mid-level entry points in their careers. We try to help the artists define the steps they need to take to advance their careers.

We discuss a variety of topics through commentary and with guests to showcase their roles within the performing and recording industry. We also focus on the music business from the perspective of service to the artist, as well as how the artist can achieve the next levels of success.
