| Food Bank for Westchester To Host "An Evening in Good Taste" To End Childhood HungerThe Food Bank for Westchester, which has been fighting hunger for more than 20 years, will host “An Evening in Good Taste” To End Childhood Hunger on Thursday, October 20, 2011 from 6–9 pm at 1133 Westchester Avenue, White Plains.

Sponsorships and donations enable the Food Bank to hold this much-anticipated annual event. Supporters include RPW Group as Host Sponsor and Entergy as the Master Chef. Of that population, 33%, or approximately 33,000, are children. Hunger can permanently affect the development of a child’s mental, emotional, physical and/or social skills necessary for work and career in adulthood. Children who are hungry are more susceptible to illnesses and hospitalization than children who are not hungry. “For every dollar donated to the Food Bank, we can purchase $4 worth of nutritious food to feed a hungry child.
