500GPM Mud purification system configuration

Mud purification system is one kind of mud process unit. It is similar as other mud system. Such as drilling mud solids control system, slurry separation system,  HDD Mud recycling system.

So the main design of 500GPM mud purification system will include general same equipments with other 500GPM mud system. Such as shale shaker, mud cleaner, centrifugal pump, centrifuge, even degassers. Some users will request mud mixing hopper pump. Most of clients will require mud tanks

In short, majority mud purification system configuration are same on equipments selection. The difference is equipment model, capacity, etc.

In 500GPM mud purification system, we can select linear motion shaker AJS 703L. Or larger capacity one if clients prefer. Such as AJS603L, AJS833L. Then, the mud cleaner, we can select AJQ703, AJQ633, AJQ833 also. The key issue is cones size and quantity. As we know the cones decide cleaner treating capacity

For 500GPM mud purification system, the cones can be eight 4" desilter hydrocyclone and one 10" cone or consider two 8" desander cone.  Actually, the cones configuration depend on users' preference

Decanter centrifuge, usually, if no special requirements we'll consider one set centrifuge. As per users's demand, sometimes there won't be centrifuge at all. If the well drilling is very deep or mud capacity is very large we'll set one middle or high speed centrifuge to separate super fine solid

500GPM mud purification unit mixing system

For 500GPM mud purification system generally speaking, one mud tank will be ok. But some customer prefer  2 mud tanks for better performance. One tank is for recycling including puricication and mud mixing pump, the other is for mud storage.

If possible,  user will request another separated mixing pump to connect with sotrage tank. This will result another mud mixing system.

The mixing pump will design as 400GPM at least. Centrifugal pump have flow rate upto 700GPM. So large capacity can provid sufficient working pressure for venturi hopper get good mixing performance
