Helen Dao, MHA, to Present Cultural Competency Workshop at UMDNJ School of Public Health

Sept. 9, 2011 - PRLog -- On September 27, 2011, Helen Dao, MHA,  will present “Integrating Cultural Strategies in Community-Based Settings: The Role of Cultural Broker Programs” at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) School of Public Health, Piscataway, NJ. The workshop, which runs from 10:30am to 12:30pm, is open to all health educators and interested members of the community.  There is no fee for the workshop, however advanced registration is required. This intermediate-level workshop says Dao “will help health educators learn about cultural competence and apply the concept of the cultural broker. This is a person who is well-informed about the community members’ needs and can mediate between health educators and patients.”
