A New Range Of 24 Volt Speed Gates From Eagle Automation

July 12, 2011 - PRLog -- Eagle Automation Systems Ltd, one of the UK’s leading suppliers of security gates and access control solutions, has launched a unique range of 24 volt Bi-Folding Trackless Speed Gates to complement its already successful range.  Manufactured in the UK to meet all European health and safety standards, they provide quieter, smoother operation in a wide range of government and commercial environments where high volumes of traffic are handled.  

The gates use a unique underground hydraulic drive system that opens and closes them in just six seconds.  They operate using very low pressures and are equipped with photocells and safety edge sensors to instantly re-open them should there be an obstruction of any kind.  The new system also comes with built in obstacle detection and is 100% duty cycle rated.  With the option of discreet underground motors, Eagle’s new gates can be specified for openings of up to 10 metres and fold to make more efficient use of space.  They operate without requiring top or bottom tracks eliminating all height restrictions as well as the need for large tracks to be installed in the road.

Eagle Automation’s new gates are manufactured from 50x50mm box steel section.  They feature heavy duty hinges with sealed bearings mounted on 400x200mm square posts which house all control systems for enhanced protection.   The gates use industry-standard components, including pumps and control boards, to significantly reduce ongoing maintenance costs and enable installers to source parts from their own preferred suppliers.

Each set of gates is custom-built to meet individual requirements and can be specified in a wide range of galvanised and powder-coated finishes.  They can also be finished in security meshing to match existing perimeter fencing systems.  Eagle Automation Systems has also designed a residential version of the Speed Gate using a wide range of robust materials including specially selected hardwoods.
