GRAPA Members to Speak at Telecom Industry Event in Latin America

Nicole Dillon, Silvia Agudo, and Walter Geovanni Alvarez Orozco to speak at CALA Annual Meeting on Revenue Management and Fraud Prevention in Panama

June 8, 2011 - PRLog -- Nicole Dillon, GRAPA's Head of Member Services and Community Outreach, is among the distinguished guests scheduled to speak at the Informa's CALA Annual Meeting on Revenue Management and Fraud Prevention in Panama City, Panama 21-22 June 2011. Experts in the field will provide in-depth insight into the topics of Fraud Prevention and Revenue Management.

In her speech titled Making Fraud Prevention Equal Fraud Protection: Mastering Telecoms Fraud Forensic Controls, Nicole will explain how GRAPA's Telecoms Fraud Governance Model and Professional Standards have been implemented by successful teams around the world. She will emphasize the importance of fraud prevention and explain how top management can use fraud forensic controls to clearly understand the return on investment for the fraud function. Lastly, she will highlight techniques for transforming the fraud function from an IT/investigative/reactive function into a stable, understandable and repeatable protection function using GRAPA's Fraud Standard Controls.

Also speaking at the event are GRAPA Certified Master of Revenue Assurance Silvia Agudo (CMRAM), the Revenue & Quality Assurance and Anti-Fraud Strategies Specialist at Entel Bolivia, and GRAPA Certified Practitioner of Revenue Assurance Walter Geovanni Alvarez Orozco (CPRA), the Revenue Assurance Manager at Tigo Guatemala. This continues a long-standing tradition of GRAPA certified professionals active in the telecom community.

This will be GRAPA's second year speaking at Informa's CALA Revenue Assurance and Fraud Management Event. Last year Louis Khor, GRAPA's Director of Research and Lead Fraud Instructor presented at the event. He reflects on that experience, "It was very well organized. Speakers and attendees showed a true expertise of their fields, and I was impressed by the level of commitment to the frank exchange of ideas within the Latin community."
