Global Satellite launches the MCG-108, a multi channel satellite PBX system ...half the size!

May 26, 2011 - PRLog -- Global Satellite USA has improved its 8-channel satellite PBX solution for emergency management by developing one piece of hardware 250% smaller than the original version and with a number of new features.

“When you have a power failure or a disaster hits communication is absolutely crucial”, comments Martin Fierstone, CEO of Global Satellite. “Our in-house engineering team customized an 8-channel gateway that would be completely seamless to switch from a regular PBX system to a satellite version.  The process is as simple as flipping a switch. The MCG-108 forwards incoming calls over the satellite network back into the office PBX without either the call originator or the recipient knowing the difference."

The MCG-108 can be used as a primary phone system as it is a self contained IP PBX.  As it is possible to connect any IP phone directly into a satellite PBX, you can benefit from additional features such as voicemail, extensions, intelligent call routing and call forwarding as well as interfacing with a T-1, E-1 or analog system.  There are pin numbers to allow access according to your management status, so that higher executives have greater priority over common calls.  

The new features include:

A fully digital interface from the PBX, across Ethernet, directly into the Iridium satellite transceiver

A redundant power supply

Native rollover capabilities for inbound and outbound calls

Monitoring software so that you can run on any computer on the local network to monitor its status, including SIM card status, signal level, and current status

Support remote diagnostics and setup

Digital DTMF signaling

A full featured PBX platform which can run your own network or backup another PBX

Provides accurate call records based on dialing, ringing, and answered states
