Global Satellite USA Hosts A Satellite Communications Educational Seminar

July 24, 2012 - PRLog -- Fort Lauderdale, FL: Monday, July 24th, 2012:  Global Satellite USA, one of the leading satellite solutions providers, is pleased to announce it will be holding a satellite communications seminar with representation from four major manufacturers – Iridium, Inmarsat, Thrane & Thrane and Global Satellite Engineering at its offices in Fort Lauderdale.

Commenting on the event, Martin Fierstone, President of Global Satellite USA, said:  We wanted to have an event where by all the local captains, engineers and boat owners can attend and hear firsthand the latest technology in satellite communications.  With four manufacturers on the panel, it will be a great opportunity to ask questions, see the products working and become more knowledgeable on the latest product launches”.

On the panel will be: John R. “Ted” O’Brien – Iridium, Vice President and General Manager, Americas.  Ted will be discussing Iridium OpenPort® and the Iridium Extreme®.

Christian Cordoba – Inmarsat, Account Manager, Eastern US.  Christian will be talking about the Multi-Voice service and the new VLA plans (All you can eat airtime plans for the FB500 terminals).

Nicolas Broderick – Thrane & Thrane, Regional Maritime Sales Director.  Nicolas will be talking about Fleetbroadband and VSAT services.

Jeffery Palmer – Global Satellite Engineering, Director. Jeffery will be talking about GSatTrack and GSatTrack Micro.
