Ten new bakers choose CyBake in twelve months

May 11, 2011 - PRLog -- Ten new bakers have installed York-based RedBlack Software's CyBake bakery management system in the last twelve months.

New CyBake customers include Brucciani in Leicester, Glovers Bakery in Chorley, Lancashire, The Cookie Jar in Newcastle, Northern Ireland, and J.J. Fields & Co in Skibbereen, the Republic of Ireland. The majority of new customers have opted for CyBake Core, the entry-level version of the system launched at the Bakery Industry Exhibition (BIE) at the NEC in March, 2010.

In addition to these new customers, a number of existing CyBake users have upgraded their systems to CyBake 3, the latest enterprise-level version of the solution, originally released in October, 2009. These include J. Wilds (Confectioners), Keighley, Yorkshire, makers of Grandma Wilds biscuits, Cooplands Bakery, Doncaster, Village Bakery, Coedpoeth and Jenkins the Bakers, Llanelli.

Commenting on the latest set of new CyBake customers, RedBlack Software managing director Jane Tyler says: "We are starting to see the tipping point now for some of the older computerised bakery systems that we are replacing. They really have run their course. Our customers have been using CyBake since 1995, but its easy to forget that many bakers are still using systems that predate even that. While CyBake is a continually evolving solution, other applications seem to have been left pretty much as they were way back when. In 2011, what were once modern DOS-based applications have now become legacy systems."
