Research Leader Kevin Lonnie to Speak About “CrowdWeaving” at IIR Technology Event

Marketing research leader Kevin Lonnie is slated to speak about “CrowdWeaving” at the Technology Driven Market Research Event, to be held May 2-3 in Chicago.

April 26, 2011 - PRLog -- Kevin Lonnie, President of KL Communications, Inc., a Red-Bank, NJ based marketing research firm, is slated to speak about “CrowdWeaving” at the Technology Driven Market Research Event, to be held May 2-3 in Chicago.

Lonnie will team with Miguel Ares, Bloomberg Sports, to share a recent case study that illustrates the concept of CrowdWeaving, a phrase Lonnie coined to explain the integration of consumer and internal stakeholder input within a collaborative framework.  

“As marketers - and particularly researchers - it is our job to put the needs and interests of the customers first by understanding what they are and why.” Ares said.   “If you can meet those basic, core functional needs then you have a foundation to build on to support higher order needs.”

Lonnie added, “Miguel and I will be talking about collaborative research we recently conducted together that exhibits this.  During the research phases, having the potential subscriber work hand in hand with the developers was critical to the success of both products.  As you know, typically research is brought in either too early (e.g. qual evaluation of the initial concept) or too late (quant survey to prove how smart we all are).  But now the focus is on a continuous iterative process to keep all parties honest and on track.”

The conference, which is sponsored by the Institute for International Research, is designed to reveal and examine the breakthrough technologies that are being used to understand consumer behavior.   Other conference topics include: the state of the industry, neuromarketing, social gaming, social analytics, virtual shopper behavior, geo-location, mobile research, webcam interviews, text analytics, emotional response technologies, privacy policies and the overall future of market research.
