REAR-END 18-WHEELER COLLISION; NON-OPERATIVE CERVICAL INJURIES

Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  Gordon McKernan and McKernan Law Firm settle an 18-wheeler crash for $252,000.  The plaintiff, 26 year-old restaurant manager,  was rear-ended by an 18-Wheeler on I-10 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  As a result of the collision, the plaintiff sustained a herniated disc in his cervical spine.  Over the course of his medical treatment the plaintiff received physical therapy and several ESIs which provided him with moderate relief.  Plaintiff did not suffer any past or future lost wages and his medical expenses totaled $25,000.00.  The day before trial was set to begin, the defendants offered the Plaintiff $80,000.00 to settle the case.  Their offer was rejected and Plaintiff proceeded to trial.  As the jury was being brought into the courtroom, the case was settled for $252,000.
