International Scholarship and Tuition Services Names New Client: Cornerstone Financial Credit Union

March 3, 2011 - PRLog -- International Scholarship and Tuition Services, Inc. (ISTS) recently signed an agreement with Nashville’s Cornerstone Financial Credit Union to manage application processing and funds disbursement for their new scholarship program.

The Cornerstone Financial Credit Union Scholarship Program, which launches March 15, will annually award 25 non-renewable scholarships worth $1,000 each to graduating seniors from selected high schools in Nashville, Hendersonville, Murfreesboro, Franklin, Clarksville and Dickson, Tennessee. Scholarship winners will be selected based on financial need, academic achievement, community service, extracurricular activities and an essay response.

William Frye, Chief Marketing Officer for CFCU, said the company decided to invest money in a scholarship program in an effort to support the education of Middle Tennessee youth – particularly students with average academic credentials and heavy financial need. According to Frye, a critical step to putting the decision into action was choosing a company to handle the program’s administration.

“When [ISTS] told us there would be little work needed on our part to get the scholarship process up and running, we were thrilled, as it is a huge undertaking,” said Frye.  “Although we’ve only just begun, we’re excited to work with ISTS and their team to meet the needs we have addressed for our success and the success of the students we assist.”

The application deadline for the CFCU scholarship program is May 16, 2011.
