McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP Welcomes Litigation Attorney John D. Vaughn to San Diego Office

Feb. 8, 2011 - PRLog -- SAN DIEGO — The San Diego office of McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP (MLA) announced that John D. Vaughn has joined the law firm as a partner in its litigation practice.  Vaughn will focus on business and commercial disputes, securities litigation and intellectual property litigation.

Vaughn litigates cases involving securities, unfair competition and trademark/trade dress/trade secret cases.  He has significant experience litigating business disputes before state, federal and appellate courts and in various arbitration forums.  Vaughn has also defended and prosecuted cases involving claims of securities and common law fraud, unfair competition/business practices, fiduciary duty disputes, officer/director disputes, as well as other business related torts.

Vaughn received his J.D. from Santa Clara University and his bachelor of arts degree, with highest honors, from California State University at Fullerton.  He is admitted to practice in California and Tennessee; before the U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit; and the U.S. District Court, Northern, Eastern, Southern and Central Districts of California.  

Vaughn is a member of the American Bar Association, Federal Bar Association, Association of Business Trial Lawyers of America, National Institute for Trial Advocacy Advocates Association, state bars in California and Tennessee, San Diego County Bar Association, San Diego Intellectual Property Law Association and the San Diego Chamber of Commerce.
