2011 MINI Cooper Countryman Set to Arrive in Boston in January

Dec. 23, 2010 - PRLog -- In preparation for the 2011 line, MINI engineers spent time improving the already classic design of our engines. The result is an alloy engine that uses Valvetronic technology to help reduce fuel consumption, enhance engine response and deliver greater overall performance. The 2011 Countryman’s 1.6L 16-valve aluminum alloy engines built into the Countryman deliver a smooth 121 horsepower.

The four-doors open wide, allowing for easy of entry, while all four of the bucket seats – even those in the rear of the 2011 Countryman – slide forward or backward independently, allowing ample leg room. Rear-seat passengers can even recline their seats, or the seats can be folded down to allow more cargo room.

Dynamic Stability Control has been proven to cut down on accidents and is included standard on the MINI Countryman.The system uses sensors to measure the steering angle, yaw and lateral acceleration to determine the direction you want to go. Then, if the MINI starts to stray, the DSC system kicks in by applying corrective brake pressure to individual wheels and applying torque.

The 2011 Countryman is one of the most connected MINIs ever; drivers who choose to install the option “MINI Connected” packaged will get a 6.5” high definition display in their center console, acting as the hub of their entertainment system.
