Andre Nickatina Preps Special New Years Eve Concert Bash in Portland, OR

Dec. 15, 2010 - PRLog -- Infamous San Francisco rapper Andre Nickatina is gearing up for an exclusive New Years’ Eve Bash at the Roseland Theater in Portland, OR. The concert serves as a ‘thank you’ to Nickatina’s unwavering fans who consistently pack Oregon venues for his performances. The balloon-dropping event will feature Paul Wall, which marks the two rappers’ first performance together. Nickatina and Paul Wall previously collaborated on the track “Pimp Hop,” which was featured on Nickatina’s latest solo effort, Khan! The Me Generation.

   The concert will also feature performances from Cool Nutz a local Portland emcee and radio Dj on the Break Out Show, Eli and The Jacka, whom Nickatina collaborated with for their forthcoming EP, My Middle Name is Crime. The EP drops December 14th, just in time for the holiday season and the self-titled single is available now via AndreNickatina.com. While this is Nickatina and Jacka’s first joint CD, the Northern California natives have previously teamed up on Jacka’s highly successful 2009 album Tear Gas. “The Glamorous Life” featuring Nickatina was the best selling track on Tear Gas.

   With a career spanning nearly two decades, Andre Nickatina has been turning out music since the early 90s. The Fillmore district indie champion has released 19 albums and despite his indie label status, has managed to put a dent in Billboard charts. His 2003 release Conversation With a Devil peaked at #3 on Billboard Pacific Heat. Dubbed ‘Best Local Hip Hop Legend’ by SF Weekly in 2005, Nickatina is best known for the über successful track “A Yo.” Earlier this year, Nickatina released Khan! The Me Generation which peaked at #2 on Itunes Top 200 Hip-Hop Albums, and features guest verses from Too $hort and Paul Wall. With a cult following among hip-hop heads, Nickatina continues to sell out shows and engage new supporters. He is currently touring the West Coast in support of the album.
