Divabetic’s December to Remember

Dec. 2, 2010 - PRLog -- Divabetic, one of the country’s leading health and wellness nonprofits presents a gift bag of inspiration to encourage those living with, at risk of and affected by diabetes to live healthy and well all year round. Their holiday reminder is to make December a month to remember by eating healthy, reducing stress, staying fit, maintaining a positive attitude and enjoying “diva-style” programming and retail therapy. Their holiday wish is that no one has to struggle alone or in silence with the disease.

“We want to empower women (divas) and their families to manage and to prevent diabetes, particularly during the busiest time of the year,” states Max “Mr. Divabetic” Szadek, Divabetic’s founder and executive director. "It’s also important to connect, support and share to find comfort in knowing that there are people who understand the highs and lows of diabetes.”

On Diva Talk Radio, Divabetic’s online radio channel, Mr. Divabetic hosts two exciting programs this month. On Diabetes Spotlight, airing live Tuesday, December 7, 6-6:30 pm, Mr. Divabetic welcomes High Voltage, named by Vogue Magazine as a top lifestyle and fitness coach. High Voltage will discuss how she’s using her successful program for celebrity clients to fight teenage obesity. On Diabetes Roundtable, airing live Tuesday, December 14, 6-6:30pm, Mr. Divabetic leads an all-star cast, including Divabetic’s Charlie’s Angels of Diabetes Outreach and Care, Mama Rose Marie with a special holiday tip, celebrity make-up artist Yago MoNique of Yagolicious Cosmetics (NYC) and a special guest diva, Catherine L. of Metairie, LA, with a personal story of living with diabetes. In the show’s Dining out with a Dietitian segment, the cast reviews the restaurant Ruby Tuesday for diabetes-friendly menu items.
