RenoTahoeJobs.com End Their Video Contest

Dec. 1, 2010 - PRLog -- Reno, NV – After a two-week long voting competition, RenoTahoeJobs.com closed the polls and announced the winners of their Video Contest. All videos were posted to RenoTahoeJobs.com’s YouTube channel where users were able to vote on their favorite video by giving it a “thumbs up.” Eight videos were entered into the content collectively receiving over 60 votes and over 600 views.

Jessica Dover of Fernley, Nev. won first place with her “Autarky” entry which received 17 votes. Dover will receive the first place prize of $500 and plans are in progress for her video concept to be used in future commercials for RenoTahoeJobs.com. The video begins with the definition of autarky as “the condition of self-sufficiency, especially economic, as applied to a nation,” followed by images of a layoff notice, foreclosure etc. The video ends with the sentence “You want something done right ...” followed by the RenoTahoeJobs.com logo.

In second place with 9 votes is Arik Bannister of Carson City who won $250 for his video and in third place with 3 votes is Christopher Ard of Sparks who won $100.

“This video contest gave us the opportunity to tap into some creative concepts for future commercials,” said CEO and President of the job boards Eric Swanson. “We are very excited to see the number of individuals who participated and the excitement the contest generated. Thank you to everyone who submitted a video.”
